Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16.10.2026

This Privacy Policy explains how I collect and use your personal data when you visit www.seidaseferi.com, read the blog, subscribe to the newsletter or contact me.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is: Dr. Seida Seferi, psychologist

Email: seidaseferi@hotmail.com

Address: Aargau, Switzerland

Registered with the Ordine degli Psicologi dell'Abruzzo, no. A4613

For any question about your data, write to the email address above.

2. What data I collect and why

Newsletter

When you subscribe, I collect your first name, email address and the language of the form you used (English, Italian or Albanian).

Purpose: to send you a new article every Wednesday, a welcome email series and the free guide.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the "unsubscribe" link in every email or by writing to me.

How long: until you unsubscribe. After that I keep only the record of your unsubscription, so that I don't write to you again.

Contact requests

When you write to me by email, I collect your name, email address, preferred language and the content of your message.

Purpose: to answer you and, if you wish, to arrange a first conversation.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible professional relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

How long: 12 months after our last exchange, unless a professional relationship begins. In that case, the professional and legal rules on clinical records apply. Please don't send detailed health information. A short description of why you'd like to talk is enough. We can discuss everything else in a confidential setting. If you choose to share health information, I will use it only to answer your request, on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).

Blog comments and site members

If you create an account or leave a comment, I process your name or nickname, email address and the content of your comment. Comments are public.

Legal basis: your consent and the terms you accept when you sign up (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR). How long: until you delete your account or comment, or ask me to delete them.

Browsing data and statistics

When you visit the site, technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of the visit are processed automatically.

Purpose: to make the site work and keep it secure; with your consent, to understand which articles are read the most.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for statistics, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3. Cookies

The site uses:

  • Essential cookies, needed for the site to work. They don't require consent.

  • Analytics cookies, to count visits and see which pages are read. They are used only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

  • Third-party cookies from embedded content (YouTube videos, Instagram feed). They are loaded only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time by deleting the cookies for this site in your browser settings: the banner will appear again and you can make a new choice.

4. Who processes your data on my behalf

I don't sell your data and I don't share it for advertising. To run the site, I use service providers who process data on my behalf:

  • Wix.com Ltd. (Israel) and its group companies: website hosting, forms, newsletter, statistics.

  • Wix's privacy policy: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy

  • Microsoft (Outlook / Hotmail): email inbox for replies.

  • Google (YouTube)

  • and Meta (Instagram, Facebook): only when you play an embedded video, view the Instagram feed, or click links to my social profiles.

These companies are independent controllers of the data they collect.

5. Transfers outside Switzerland and the EU

Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland and the European Union (for example in Israel or the United States). Israel is recognised by the European Commission and by Switzerland as providing adequate protection. For other countries, transfers are protected by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US / Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, you have the right to:

  • access your data and get a copy of it;

  • correct inaccurate data;

  • delete your data;

  • restrict or object to processing;

  • receive your data in a portable format;

  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.

To use these rights, write to seidaseferi@hotmail.com. I will answer within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:

  • in Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it

  • in Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), www.edoeb.admin.ch

  • or with the authority of the EU country where you live.

7. Minors

The site and the newsletter are not intended for people under 16. If you are under 16, please don't subscribe or send personal data without a parent's or guardian's consent.
